Our Accommodation
At Amelia’s Kitchen, we have 6 luxurious en suite bedrooms, each with their own unique character.
All of our accommodation is in the grade two listed, converted barn. Each room is separately accessed from the outside, giving you plenty of peace and privacy. All have fridges, and tea and coffee making facilities, and three of them have kitchenettes, should you want to make a packed lunch before walking, or have an extra early breakfast.
Each room is named after a food theme and decorated accordingly. All of our rooms are doubles, but two of them also have the option of converting into twin beds. One of those is our cosy family room, and sleeps four, two on trundle beds (with proper mattresses), two in the zip-and-link beds, which can either be a superking, or two singles.
Our beds come from the thewoolroom.com and are woollen from divan all the way to duvet. This means that they are hypoallergenic and breathable, as well as sublimely comfortable

Dog Friendly B & B
Three of our rooms are dog friendly, though we would ask that you keep dogs off the beds please! We can provide blankets to protect the furniture if your furry friend can’t be persuaded to stay at ground level, and we do ask for a deposit, in case any canine deep cleaning is needed after your stay.
The Yorkshire Dales is glorious for going walking, and we have fluffy towels to dry off your four legged friend if you come in wet and muddy. We also have our own ludicrously friendly labrador, who is guaranteed to be delighted to see you (and even more delighted to meet your dog).
The garden gates can be shut to provide a secure space for an outside romp too.

Breakfasts
We have an assortment of breakfasts, from homemade, gluten free granola with fruit and yogurt, to toast and spreads, with homemade bread, jams, and marmalade, to a hearty cooked breakfast with proper bacon and local black pudding.
Where possible, it’s great if you can give us an idea of what you fancy in advance to avoid food wastage, but in reality, we’re entirely flexible.
...and Dinner
Why not join us for dinner? All food is fresh, homemade and seasonal. Where possible our meat is home grown (beef and lamb). We offer cosy, informal, family style dining. Let me know of any allergies, intolerances, or dietary requirements, and I’ll work around them.
The idea is that it should feel like supper with friends, just a friend who happens to be a cordon bleu trained cook! My cooking style is wholesome, and hearty, with lots of veggies and a sprinkling of spices. Check out our facebook page for examples of the sort of thing you can expect. Prices are £30 for 2-3 courses (depending on menu, some nights will include starters or canapés, some will be more like lots of mezze dishes). From homemade pumpkin ravioli, to Turkish pizzas, to a traditional British roast, there’s bound to be something that will tickle your tastebuds. Tuesday night is usually fish night (courtesy of the wonderful fishmongers in Settle’s Tuesday market). Apart from that, we go with the flow of the seasons.

Wine & Wine Tastings
As well as being a trained chef, I’m also a trained wino. I have my WSET diploma in wines and spirits.
Each evening I will carefully select wine to pair with our food. Inevitably, with my Italian background, there is a bit of a bias towards Italian wines, but I promise you won’t be seeing your average glass of pinot grigio. I love discovering new grape types, or seeing old friends reinvented in new corners of the globe. For those who are interested, I can lead you through wine tastings and explain the theory behind my pairings. Equally, you can just enjoy a glass of something delicious in peace!
